Occasional
Offices
As well as regular Sunday and midweek Services your parish Church is
there to help you mark those key points in a person's life.
Baptism
A person needs to live within the Parish of Wigston Magna if they want
to be Baptised at All Saints or St Wistans, follow this link for a list
of roads in the parish. If you have a good link with the parish then we
may also be able to help but you will need your parish priests
permission for us to conduct a baptism.
For the baptism of an infant or child then 3 Godparents are required,
two of the same gender as the child one of the opposite gender. The
Godparents must be baptised and confirmed and should be regular
communicant members of their own churches. If you have difficulty
finding Godparents then you will need to talk to us about this.
For older children and adults baptism is offered in the context of
confirmation.
Marriage
Again geography is important and we advise you to download the latest
version of our marriage booklet from our Weddings page. For a list of
roads in the parish follow this link.
Funerals
Normally a family will arrange this with the help of a funeral director
who will deal with all the bookings and the appropriate fees.
